General Horn Trouble

Hi,My horn has stopped working and the fuse is fine but I can't see the actual horn.Could someone please point me in the right direction.I have the car booked in at the main stealer for Monday but would rather check the horn connections first because they don't know if the warranty covers it until they look at it.The car is a 06 diesel:worship:

Open the bonnet and look straight down between the driver's side headlight and the radiator - it's only a little way down and screwed to the metal 'rail' heading out towards the front of the car. Maybe if you can't see it, its fallen off??

Mine broke a wire where it went onto the horn itself. Cut off and replaced the spade connector with a new crimp-on one.

I got the same problems before. You better to check the relay under the main board on the driver side glove box. I mean the underside of the main board. you need to get access from the foot pedal. There is a small black relay. My one was damage by the wet moist. Good luck.

Hi,Thanks for the help guys.The only thing I can see which looks like it might be a horn is centre bottom of the radiator.It has one large red wire going into the middle of itLooks hard to get to unless you jack the front up.Looks like the main stealer on Monday and hope it is a warranty covered job.It seems with the third year warranty everything is fair wear and tear

Hi,If someone with a new shape multi could have a look to see where there horn is located and let me know that would be great.I think they might be in differant places depending on the yearI am not sure if the round thing behind the rad is the horn or not.It just has a fat red wire going through the front centre

the thing with a red 'wire' going into it is part of the turbo system! (its a vacuum tube not a wire)

Thinks... have you tried the ePER electronic parts finder (link at top of these Forum pages?) I am an Apple Mac user and sadly not all of it works for me (or anyone using Firefox)... but with a PC and Internet Explorer you should find the Holy Grail of Horn-ness...

Yay found itbut it is hidden well out of the way and without ramps you can't get to itI am going to pray it is a warranty job and keep my main stealer appointment at 8am tomorrowIf I don't post what was wrong with it you know the shock of the bill killed me

It is on the drivers side at the front bottom and can only be seen by getting well under the bumper for those of you who will one day need to know
