If you're annoyed by rust, you should see my mate's Pug
Sounds like things are progressing well though

Rob! as Ming said it's the ONLY Vertical Convertible about, and unlike most which fold into them selfs and you then loose boot space, with the Del Sol's you don't have to comprise, as the roof is stored in a small compartment.
As for the rust on Ally's car..... ITS FRENCH!!!!!!!!!! and they rust like hell.

YcMing said:Yup, that was indeed one of the reason why . IT was the first ever eletric hard roof convertible!
ABZSTILO said:Don't want to rain on your parade, but the first electric hard top convertible was well before the Del Sol.
I'm pretty sure the first was actually the Peugeot 401 Eclipse which dates back to the mid 1930's, Ford played around with the idea in the '50s with the Fairline (a monster) before the idea cropped up again (other than in concept cars at various shows) with Honda. Ofcourse, no-one remembers that Honda beat Mercedes Benz to it in the '90s (just like they choose to forget that Alfa Romeo kicked Mercs arses in the DTM) but that's life.
Anyway, the Del Sol was an interesting drive. I tried one when they were new and it was a pretty nimble wee thing, IMHO needed more grunt though.
