Keep original air filter for the MOT! Simple!
is this all air filters or just this one that hes making,is a focus induction kit ok ?and yes will fail MOT
is this all air filters or just this one that hes making,is a focus induction kit ok ?
And there's also another small pipe from the back of the throttle body that sucks in air so where should that go?
Its part of the breather pipe. One into airbox, one into engine and another really thin one

Yeah the really thin one, sucks in air. Usually just plugs straight into your original airbox
But am I right in thinking that I don't have to touch them, they are wherever they are so when I get the parts and that all I need to do is worry about connecting a filter to the hose that's being routed into my current induction kit?
See I didn't originally fit my induction kit, so the guy that fitted it as far as I know only routed the crankcase hose to the induction kit, ain't got a clue what he done with the other pipes you've mentioned.
And I'm hoping I don't need to do anything with them.
See what I don't get is with all the induction kits as far as I know even the gsr one, only has one hose going to it which would be the crankcase breather right? So where do the other hoses go once an induction kit is fitted?
I know it's slightly different to other induction kits as it's just a filter but look here, no mention of these other hoses/pipes, just the one breather hose that gpoes to the filter, and it would be the same one that would go the the tubing on the gsr/focus kit etc http://www.knfilters.com/instructions/57-0455_inst.pdf
mate i hant actually red it all lol but are you askin where to connect the breather??
all you have to do is connect the same breather that was connected on your focus kit to your new custom induction.
Just that 1 pipe needs connecting, all we are sayin is that the breather pipe is like a Y shape splits into 2 ends, The single end is your induction kit, One of the double ends is the crank case and other of double end is the throttle body but no need to worry about them just leave the breather pipe connected at these points and connect from the bit that was in your focus one lol
best way to understnd open the bonnet and look lol
Like I said, plug it with a screw, it's a vacuum pipe. Only other original things needing anything done will be the throttle body (which your main pipe/filer will cover) and your crankcase breather, which has also been covered here
I've had a look lol, I'll try and explain as I'm crap with words.
Right now I have my induction kit and that has the crankcase hose connected to it.
When I make a custom one, the crankcase hose will be going to it the same way it is now, what I'm asking about is all the spare hoses people are talking about, I don't know where the hell they are, and god knows what the guy who originally fitted the induction kit done with them.
Or are there no spare hoses and I'm being a dickhead lol
MATE!!!
ther are no spare pipes no need to block anything with screws:bang: lol
Everything is still connected to your car like standard dont take owt off lol just remove the breather from the focus kit and attach that same pipe tothe new induction in the same way lol thats all take 1 pipe off and put the same 1 pipe on.
Simple mate honest trust me just that 1 pipe you know which one it is just the normal breather pipe that connects into the focus induction steel pipin.
Hah, that was all my fault - people need avatars! I was getting confused between myblackpunto and the OP 'cos he asked about the vac pipe, lol
