Can a car fail its mot on the door lock being "tried"?!

Someone has tried the lock on the old mans car, when he took it for its MOT today they argued that thats a fail cos in an emergency the door can fail or some bullshit!!! The handle works fine its just that the lock wont open on the drivers side (with key) and the surround is a bit shafted! He argued that wi them but they just shrugged their shoulders and said its a fail...

I reckon this is a potential rip-off alert :evil:

It wasn't tested last night, that was just the quick having a quick scan before dad left...

But by the sounds of the message on the phone, its a fail. With a capital F...

i imagine it can for some reason....

lol say u hit a wall side on in a 3 door 1 door gets jammed against the wall, ehh and the other door handle falls off but your parents have the spare key and they rush down and the lock dont work and the car bursts into flames lmao.

or maybe if someone parks too close to you in tescos car parks and u cant get your drivers door open? and the other lock is busted....and its my granny thats blocked u in, she'l be in tescos for years better hope it aint raining.

hmm well looks like we wont know today anyway. Muchos not impressedosed!

Got a phone call this morning, they wanted to bleed the breaks BEFORE the mot...nice. Told it would be tested by about 1oclock, and that I'd get a phone call. Dad phoned at 3pm, oh we still aint had a chance to test it....

They've had the car for a day now. We know its going to need work done, so no car till tomorrow ANYWAY!

Fuming. I feel a name n shame coming on...
