I'm Fiat-mad, having been the proud owner of a cracking 1972 500, an air-cooled 126 (drove an entire winter with a hot water bottle on my lap because I couldn't work out where the heater was...), several 'delightful' water-cooled BIS's, a Seicento, a Panda Easy (was murdered by an absolute savage in a Kia Sportage), a Twin Air Panda (loved him!) and finally my current two, a 2011 Panda (broken, getting new clutch fitted at the moment) and a lovely '68 plate 500x. So, as you can guess, I absolutely adore Fiats...

...but I have fallen completely OUT of love with Fiat, which is why I am here...

Guessing somethings broken then! whats up?
Only my soul, lol! I've religiously had my 500x serviced at the Fiat dealer I bought it from (on pcp), but when they closed down it meant my nearest one was too far away, so I went to another service centre. They serviced it... then said that they were waiting for the code to reset the 'service due' message on the dashboard. That was in March. Since then, apart from getting it MOTd in June, I've hardly used it, just because the l'il Panda is so nippy in and out of Town every day.
When my Panda carked it last week (in spectacular fashion - heavy traffic, disabled husband, thunderstorm...), I needed to get back into the 500x for my commute, and I thought it was about time the garage sorted the service code out.
When I asked them however, they told me that Fiat still hadn't updated their interface, so they couldn't update it. Subsequently, I have complained directly to Fiat - and they have fobbed me off, saying that 'only authorised garages can use the codes'. The garage has told me that they have spent a fortune on all the latest equipment and they ARE authorised, and meanwhile I'm stuck in the middle, in a fully serviced car, with a message screaming at me 'SERVICE DUE AT 0 MILES'. I have obviously told Fiat the garage IS authorised, but I'm just livid at the generic, half-hearted responses I have had from them. Absolutely NO customer care.
