Ive learnt more about the car from 2 hours of reading this, than 2 years of trying to research about the car online. Its instructions are very clear, and shows you just what to expect when servicing the car.
After reading how to replace the timing belt, im regretting taking the car to a garage. Although the cost wasnt as bad as i expected, it would have been far more satisfying to repair it myself, and save money in the process.
The handbrake is a bit too slack, needing to be pulled up 6 clicks before it will hold the car in position, but the Haynes guide shows clearly how to tighten the handbrake, or even replace the brake cables altogether.
It also shows you how to service most of your car, prepare it for an MOT, etc.
If you are curious about how the car works, or want a bash at fixing problems yourself, then definitely have a read of this book.
(and no, im not a spokesman of Haynes ).
