What importance (if any) should we attach to insisting on valve stems being high pressure models during tyre replacement?
How clued up are tyre fitters in this respect?
They are available with the exposed brass stem on ebay and Amazon, but in bags with far more than I need.
Most Ducato owners run pressures of 60-70psi.
Having found alarming deterioration in the rubber stems of my valves, I had them replaced mercifully before any blowouts.
Most campervans would do a fairly small annual mileage, so tyre replacement crops up every 4-6 years, say. Obviously then, the valves are the same age.
