Hi Tom, well my engine is tuned and so far with the stock 650 GB looks like it needs a longer ratio, even at steep hills and I mean steep little car like to accelerate than decent so my guess is that 9/39 will fit perfectly. I am not in a hurry though since my car now is at the shop for general reconditioning and painting so I will be busy when I get it back but I will think of it, maybe find a second GB rebuild it and swap it I'll see.

Although I am not on "Facebook", I have just seen an advert by a Japanese gent called---kazutoshi Maekawa who is selling a "Very rare" 10/39 final-gear crown-wheel and pinion---might be of interest to somebody wanting to 'up' there gear-ratio

As Tom said a guy named kazutoshi Maekawa at FB page "fiat 500 elaborate". This guy has an insanely modified 500 in Japan and his post triggered me to start searching for diffs. but ofcourse 10/39 is a way too long for my car.
