would changing the lambda sensor be the first option over cat,and what sort of price should i be looking to pay for it,and how much more or less is a new cat
on going to mot at idle reading was0.40 whilehe was revving 0.60+- i live in majorca dont understand all the paperwork, but took it to a garage this morning about 330 quid for a new cat and about 120 quid for the sensor surely there is a solution out there some where. fuel consumption ok as is performance
try cleaning your lambda sensor with a bit of wd40, if that doesnt work but the readin does go down a bit i would suggest just buying a new sensor and fitting that, it's really easy to do m8
do i need to do anything else i read in forum about letting the car idle until fan kicks in then gentle drive, also is the sensor what ican see at back of engine on downpipe
yeah im not sure how if your car will have 2 sensors or not but my bravo only has the 1, if you follow the downpipe you will see a wire sticking out of it thats your lambda sensor
