Hi! My 500 1.4 sports clutch biting point seems to have gone very high all of a sudden! The other day I noticed that 3rd gear was a bit crunchy sometimes and now there's this problem! Has anyone had any similar problems with theirs? It is just over three years old and has just done 19k any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I contact the dealer which I bought the car from to ask if such thing would be covered under the warranty they gave me when I bought it!

The clutch is self adjusting hydraulic so the biting point shouldn't change.

I dont know much about the system but maybe the hydraulic fluid needs changing or the master cylinder needs reseting.

Check the fluid level under the bonnet.

Hi thanks for your reply! I have checked the level in the bottle and it looks like it's just below the max line! I'm going to book it in the dreaded dealer tomorrow! Hope I don't have to pay anything as I only bought the car in may and the dealer provided a 3 month warranty with it!
