Hi everyone thanks for the add. I inherited a MK2 2008 Fiat Panda from my dad who passed away in 2015. I am a single mum with two kids and it's our only vehicle. My question is about a towbar (not sure where best to place it?). I am thinking it would be amazing to get a small lightweight camping trailer. I know it's not your typical towing vehicle but it's what we have :) I had a quick search online and it's coming up about £500 to buy and install. Anyone any experience with this please? Thanks

Hi, and welcome :)

I was considering one of these, but never got round to it:

My parents ordered theirs from this supplier, they have it on sale for the Panda at the moment (electrics separate):

The bumper needs to come off, but no cutting required, shouldn't be a big job for an independent garage.

I know @A3jeroen regularly used a Westfalia detachable tow bar on his Panda for many years: https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/new-member-with-a-100hp.477907/#post-4514311

There used to be a towbar fitter in Warrington that was reasonable…
Cheap enough to buy and fit, unless you’re not confident, no ‘friends of friends’ that know how to wield a spanner and a wire stripper?
Eriba and freedom caravans are easily towed by pandas and both can accommodate ‘sleeper’ awnings for extra accommodation
Other options are folding caravans but get one you can do one-handed…most trailer tents are a pain after a very short time
