hope to see you back for good

wont be on as much as i was as i'm a bit busier nowadays am back fir good though, mk2 is really good completely effortless to drive, prefer it to the mk1. city button is wierd good for parkin in small spaces i suppose but thats about it lol

cheers for the welcome folks

City mode is scary if you are having a go of your mates car for first time, especially when accelerating hard and mike keeps pushing the city button.

Like driving a shopping trolley with a broken wheel, full of shopping round asda.

It's weird because I never reckoned the city button made any difference to the steering weight when you pressed it. It was almost like the car automatically gave you more assistance when you were going slower anyway.
Either that or mine was knackered :(

It did help in traffic jams though because I think it changed the throttle map and made it less sensitive and therefore easier to trickle along in 1st gear at walking speed.

I really dont like nor use the city button, a girl i know used her car on city all the time and it screwed her tyres - had to get 4 new ones as it was angling them or something.

My nephew pressed the city button on the way round a roundabout and I thought id lost control of the car cause it just felt like i was skidding, then i noticed the daft lil green light (and heard him laughing at pressing a button)

my dad constantly drives with it on. got in the car the other day and turned it off before he got in. took him about 14seconds to notice it was off and turn it back on. give me heavy non assisted stearing any day ;)

I think it only works up to something like 40mph anyway.

it turns off at 30mph...
but starts gettin stiff after 15mph and then when it hit 30mph it turns off..
