Hi thanks for havin me .ive being getting a 2005 ducato 2.3 motorhome a couple of weeks ago.drove it from Preston to Carlisle and was fine apart from a sound or gushing air in 1st two 4th gear and what I think a bit guttles in 5th gear.there seems to be a little bigger t of smoke when I put my foot down.is this normal or have I a problem(hope not). It's done 21000 miles.thanks for your time of reading this

Sound of gushing Air, Black Smoke and Gutless usually points to a split in either the intercooler hoses or one of the Turbo hoses. I'm guessing the Air sound is when accelerating threw the gears and happens when your turbo kicks in ?

If the sound increases with the revs you may be losing air pressure from the turbo. Check the air intake hose from the turbo to the throttle body on the inlet manifold, check for splits and loose hose/jubilee clips.

Can't seem to see any splits or loose clips but not really sure what I'm looking for lol. I'll get it booked in the garage monday

Does anyone have a picture of where the above hoses are. Sorry but no good with engines
