Hi, everyone

Just thought I would say Hi to every one as I have just joined, I have a 2012 Fiat Easy,.

Have been trying to find any info on towing with this car, I bought it to tow a Dandy Folding camper, but I find the Panda a bit sluggish on hills, so wondered what other people think.
Dandy 350 Kg unladen - 500 Kg laden.

I know it should be OK, but had a car before, which was supposed to be ok, but that was not to good for towing even though it was well within its limits.

I want to be sure before I go into the expense of a tow bar, and purchase the camper.

Thanks for your help
Enjoy your day

500kg is half the cars unladen weight, it'll pull a braked trailer that weight no trouble (up to 800kg braked, 400kg unbraked), but........

Add to that a boot full of beans, potnoodles, instant mash and the rest of your "can't live withouts".
(beans, potnoodles and instant mash are mine!)

Add in the driver and passenger (that might have been passing up on the Special K to often)
Perhaps a nipper or mutt in the back seat, 50 kg of undies and socks up on the roof box (plus the weight og the roof box) and a couple of mountain bikes hanging off the tailgate.

Mix all that with the 69hp and the quoted 0-60 time of 14 seconds will seem like a Saturn 5 Rocket, the slightest incline will seem like the north face of the Eiger and your clutch will be dust before you reach the end of the road (if you haven't overheated first).

It isn't all about what the car is pulling behind it, more like what the engine and drivechain is pulling, you need to factor in the rest of the weight.
