Hi guys,
Just thought id introduce myself! Garbhan's my name, i'm from Ireland, currently in the process of modding my grande punto 1.3 multijet :)

So far i've done the following:

V-Maxx coilovers
Sticker front plate
Badgless grille

Hoping to get some wheels under her soon, was thinkin 16'' keskin kt1s, or maybe rota grid Vs??(y) There's a lot to consider when picking wheels, bit of a nightmare:bang: not even sure of the pcd, 4x98, or 4x100??

Anyways, hopefully i'll learn a thing or two about fiats, was always into my alfas!

Heres a bad quality picture taken in a rush on my phone, plate and grille not fitted when pic was taken!

Looks good! :) PCD on Grande Puntos is 4x100 :)
Keep an eye out for/order a TMC tuning box for your car, will boost your power/torque and economy a fair bit, keeep up the good work :)

thanks tom, always the italians went 4x98 so good to know i wont be needing wobblies! Was going to get a remap, i assume that would be as good as u tuning box? Not familiar with tuning boxes :)

The Grande shares its hub assemblies with the Vauxhall corsa hence the pcd.

A re-map is normally considered superior to a tuning box as its bespoke to your car. On the other hand a tuning box is cheaper, can be switched on or off, often offers a knob to adjust the power output and can be removed when you sell.

its an interesting proposition, ill defo look into it, any chance you could fit a tuning box and remap it?! Its very slow and a remap only gives u 95hp which is still not much on the grand scheme of things!

Err no you can't. Its one or the other.

A friend of mine jonnyhahn had a company called Celtic Performance quote him 111bhp and a similarly improved torque figure from a remap on a Grande Punto GP 1.3 75bhp M-jet. I know the old style TMC tuning box takes the 75 M-Jet up to 98bhp.. Sounds like the remap company you looked at is using generic maps. Ask about custom maps, maybe a bit more expensive but worth it :)

111hp?? Would that be safe? sounds like it could be pushing it a bit far, could you link me the company website? I'm in Ireland so that could be an issue, but for 111hp, it push the boat out! (y)

Sorry for the late reply
Considering the same company quote taking the 1.9M-Jet from 130 to 196bhp with just a map, then its not a huge jump. 75 - 111bhp is only a 27% boost. The company is called Celtic tuning (click for website). Im not sure if they offer services in Ireland, but the remaps are the same price as TMC tuning boxes £295 with EGR delete.

And if you want more Ideas for mods... go have a search on facebook for "Multijet Tuning" The guy has a panda 1.3 Mjet 75bhp, aftermarket bolt on turbo, bigger injectors, FMIC, remaps ect, funny feeling last time I checked he was pushing 169bhp!!!

Get some pics up of your car in a member motors thread :)

Ill check it out! and its a 50% increase in power for the multijet (y). I emailed them, and they seem very professional, i emailed an irish fella but he didnt get back to me, typical irish! will probably go with celtic tuning, that would do me for a while, can look into other stuff later down the line!
Thanks
