Stilo Hi

Just thought I'd finally register and say hi.

Been lurking for quite sometime now, and after owning a few Fiats/Alfa's amonst other things, I thought it best to say hi and introduce myself.

Currently I run a Nissan Skyline in Time Attack, and this will shortly change into a Ex-works Darrian GTR in one of the pro classes.

Fiat and Alfa wise had the following:

Fiat :
Cinquecento
Seicento x2
Stilo Abarth 2.4 - current

Alfa:
156 x2 Ts 20 and JTD2.4
GTV v6

The current Stilo is a non-runner, and as I like a challenge , what better place to start than a non communicating body ecu..

Welcome my friend

How did you determine the ecu is knackered? Was it cutting out whilst driving?where you getting any errors on the dash ie loose connection?

Car gives up 'loose connection' and thanks to the various threads on here, I managed to try the various thigns to no avail, next stop is to admit defeat and call in someone with a) better knowledge, b) more skill.

No one I could find around Glasgow had examiner so off to fiat and they couldn't get it to connect.

Thats where the car sits now, a very nice example of a two owner Stilo Abarth 2.4, that has 'issues' with wanting to hit the road.

Btw, what makes it worse is the fact it turns over and will run for a brief time.

I like a challenge....
