Found the forum as a result of a Google search .... tuned out someone on here had just finished the same job that I was struggling with
I have a late X19 and really I'm just at the 'getting to know you' stage although I owned one about 20 years ago. 'Scarlett' is basically very sound and has been well looked after but with a million small jobs to keep me busy. I am concentrating on all the un-sexy things like scrubbing down all the wheel arches and underbody sections ready to be re-treated, taking all the carpets out to have a proper look etc etc. Nicer things like a new carpet set and Momo steering wheel are waiting in the spare room!
I'm not new to older cars and my other classic is a 205 1.9GTI. Recently I have had a couple of Porsche 924's and in the past MGB's & Minis. I do lots of car shows. I like my cars to be nice and bright but not concourse and always useable!
