Hello everyone, my name's Steve and I've joined for help and advice on Fiat FIRE engines. I don't own a Fiat but am fitting a 999cc Panda engine into my 500kg Reliant Kitten. I had built a turbo'd Reliant 850 for it but it blew up so now I'm trying Fiat power!
I hope the tuning of this little engine that I'm carrying out will be of interest to some of you.
Best regards, Steve.

Welcome steve

Get yourself into the classic panda section where you'll get loads of help.

Have you done anything to the engine yet?

Ok, will post in the classic Panda thread.
So far I've checked the bottom end and painted it, ported an 1108cc Punto head for it which I'm collecting from Scholar engines tomorrow who've skimmed a fair bit off it.
The bike carbs are away having a manifold made and my new cam should arrive from Cat Cams this week.

Are you running bike carbs or ITBs? would love to have a go in that after its finished!

Does the fire engine mate to the reliant box ok?

The 750 formula racers use the 1108cc FIRE engine attatched to a Reliant 850 box so they supply an adaptor plate which I have, the front mounts are one-off.
