i've just bought my 1st car

a 1996 mk1 Punto S and i thought this may

be a good place to check out

im no egg head when it comes to cars but

ive always had a passion for them since as far

A good choice for you I think. There were nearly 4 million made so they have a track record. You will get used to the heavy steering (no power assistance) but you are young and presumably strong enough to turn the wheel. Theres lots of info on this site regarding the peculiarities of this car. We had ours for seven years, only got rid of it because our dog wanted airconditioning - so she got a Stilo. You should have seen the sales staff at Arnold Clark when we took a Black Labrador to look around their showroom to view the cars.

hi all

i bet the dealers were worried about

their interiors, they very rarely get people

in never mind dogs.

the fact that the punto has no power steering

was one of the reasons i picked it, well that and

the £200 price tag. its gona need abit of work

anyway, ive been seeing some useful stuff on

this website
