Hi,

Just quick intro,

basically im 17yr old kid from oxfordshire, work part time in halfords with a 50cc moped, however booking driving test when i get round to it (passed theory recently) and getting a cinquecento sporting the second i pass my test so figured i'd join here for advice when i need it.

anyway, thats pretty much the quick intro

is a good place to look for some info, as is

Basically, look at the car to see that it hasn't been smashed and painted, check that it doesn't overheat - can be a sign of poor maintenance or head gasket failure. Listen for any odd noises while test driving, check that it runs smoothly, clonks from the rear are usually suspension bushes (budget on £200 in a garage to fix) and whining/grinding noises commonly wheel bearings. and look at the overall condition - does it match the mileage etc.
Service history is nice too, but you can't always find it on older cars.

Check that the handbrake doesn't drag, these need regular maintenence.
Keys etc. - read the faq bits in the Cinq/Sei section.
