Grande Punto hi there, punto diesel

Hello, i thought i should join seen as i have to service a small fleet of fiat punto vans.

I hope someone could shed some light on a niggling issue i have with 1, firstly the van keep's throwing up engine managment light up which prevent's the turbo from kicking in and then the van drive's crap.

The van's are 2008 fiat punto 1.3 diesel multijet

i keep getting fault codep0234 overboost! can anyone shed some light on this code and what i need to fix it. thank's for reading

I found the problem, the vacuum pipe going to the regulator, has snapped... why the hell is the nipple made from plastic in the first place with all that heat i don't know so look's like a replacement turbo is in order....anyone with any experience on here changed one before???

Vacuum pipe or is it boost to the wastegate?
