General Hi, newbie to ulysse ownership

Hi everyone
just bought a 2003 Ulysse 2.0 jtd dynamique.
Pleased with it so far but it has a few foibles.
1.oil level display sometimes reads full sometimes a couple of bars down and sometimes reads empty.
2.CD player got a cd stuck in it does fitting an aftermarket player cause problems.
3. remote locking fob doesn't work, put new batteries in and cleaned all connections but still no joy, how do i program it.
Any help greatly appreciated

Firstly welcome to the forum!

Oil Level - I presume the different readings are all taken on level ground and first time of use each day?

CD - Which unit have you got fitted? clarion / RT3

Central locking - try pressing and holding down the lock or unlock button on the key fob for 15 seconds when you turn the ignition on.

Many thanks now have working remote locking.
The stereo is a clarion not RT3

I would remove clarion then undo the topcover of the unit angd remove the CD manually.
then re-insert the unit and test its functions.

Think the cd part is beyond redemption, also s I don't have the radio code I was just going to fit an aftermarket unit but read somewhere that this can cause problems I.e warning lights on dash. Just wondered if this was the case

Not sure on whether the clarion interacks with the veh Comp (BSI).
The RT3 unit certainly does!
Frantic Fran might be able to give you a definative answer on the clarion.
you could just remove it and check to see i the trip comp etc still works and also if it uses standard euro connectors to the radio.

If trip still works with out radio in then you should be able to fit an aftermarket with no worries.

Many thanks for the info
the trip computer doesnt seem to operate, think button on stalk maybe at fault
need to replace stalks anyway as headlights have a mind of their own and keep coming on until i wiggle the stalk.

May have a spare clarion kicking around somewhere, think it does display info to the LCD clock as took one out of a c8 and the display seems to have gone, will investigate tomorrow if I have time.
