Just to say Hi...I'm from Tamworth...never had a punto before and just encountered the 'key won't turn in the ignition' problem. Posted my first post on the punto technical thread as I need help re this problem. Tried everything I know (always had a car with all their little problems and foibles, but don't know what to do in this instance) :bang:

haha i remember me having this prob the morning of my driving test, i was like omg what if this happens on my test, he said relax move the wheel then turn the key. :slayer:
thanks...but I've been shaking it, wrenching it, wiggling it, hitting it and pleading with it for the past 24 hours! Someone on here said get someone to push it and move the wheel to release it so I'm going to try that tomorrow
I've had this problem as well a few times. This might sound obvious, but have you [1] stepped on the brakes, and [2] put the gears in neutral? With the new Puntos if you do something it doesn't like it'll beep at you - any beepings?
