Hi everyone, thought I best pop in and say hi. Mike from sunny Dunfermline here. Just bought my first Punto, had it less than a day and already loving it.

Looking forward to some great banter and helpful tips!

Thanks all!

I was actually planning on coming along to it, the car is a bit rough (some chips, nice wiper scratch on the windscreen) as we only got it on Monday so didn't think exhibiting was an option (wouldn't wan't to let the side down!)

Thats grand, don't see why not then! Is it possible to buff out scratches from a windscreen? I don't "think" they're too deep but i'm fairly clueless when it comes to cars. I'm seeing this as an excuse to get my act together :)

Great, get your name added to the Hopetoun thread and that way a name badge will be made for you. It'll mean we'll be able to introduce ourselves to you and it'll help you identify who we all are :)

Sorry, can't help with the windscreen as I'm probably more clueless than you but one of the knowledgeable members should be on with advice later

Scratches are on the front window so don't think it'll be yours, tis a '04 1.2 8v Active Sport. They are just on the windscreen at the front on the drivers side. If you're at the meet next Sunday you'll be able to see them (unless I somehow get them out by then)

I take it the Fifers are outnumbered here :)

Only slightly but but bearing in mind it would take 4 northern Nancey's to beat 1 fifer, we manage to hold our own

Thats what I like to hear!

Noticed in the thread for the Italian car & bike day that there's a few folks in Rosyth, where abouts are you all?

I bought this for the scratches in the wifes bm windscreen, still to get my arse in gear an try it out lol If you can buy through FB there is 10% discount on Planet Polish stuff, alternatively there is also this which you should be able to get 7.5% discount using TWI4D code.

HTH

That's definitely worth a look, the sun is beaming today so might snap a few pictures of the car, get them up on the site :)

As a side question, does anyone know of an Auto-Sparky/Garage that is able to cut + program a spare key? just called the Fiat Garage and they quoted £230, no chance they're getting their hands on that...

Thanks again everyone for all your help :)
