HI all just bought a Punto 2005 1.2 for my daughter every seems fine funs fine gearbox smooth.only one thing bothers me when slowing down not using the brakes it starts to jerky slightly, the previous owner says it has been stood about a month could this be the problem.Thanks Paul

Hi, and welcome,
it's possible,

needing a basic service , spark plugs can be a BIG thing on the FIRE engines..

even stale fuel to a degree,


personally;
I would run the tank down ,then refill to 1/2 tank
make sure the battery is fully charged - check alternator output is 14 volts

changing spark plugs (+ HT leads) is advisable if no history..

is it 8 Valve of 16..??,

Thanks Charlie for replying its 8v a sunroof special, when I got it reserve light was on so suppose it could have dragged all the drags of the tank up.
