Depending on my pay next year and when I get my car/whether I keep it in the final year I hope to come out with zero debt in real terms. Maybe a little optimistic though!

I was crap at Physics really but I thought it would be good for a job, but I just like winding you up
To be honest when I went it was easier because you got a grant and as I came from London I got a bigger grant. I think I only owed about £1,200 when I left.

students are meant to get into debt, you are not a real student unless you in debt 18k and counting, i suppose taking a 5k car loan out helped my situation

"proper" students of 20 years ago were in much better positions financially than current students but current students live in better standards which is interesting.

True, wish the gov would give more aid to students as i was tempted to go to uni, but wanted a car so did an apprenticeship, money and learning
I worked for an apprenticeship organisation over the summer and the amount of funds they got for the training was massive. OK the kids only got about £90/week for the first year for 35+ hours a week but they also got ££££s for the training 'we' provided including £50/night hotel rooms for the block training (15weeks/year in total). That's a lot more than I get!
I am lucky in that I can do a year in industry so it will help me a lot both financially and otherwise. I am also lucky in that my tutition fees are approx 1.2k instead of the 3k they would be if i started next year

Apparently even having a fiat won't make me cool

Im sure there are lots of decent priced Bravas get on Auto Trader
I have to wait until when I can actually run one, probably easter or June depending.
