New around here used to have punto tjet want another but worried about a few things ive read hopefully you guys will help me out

Hi i used to have a new tjet for 3 years till some donut vandalised it and it was written off now 7 years later i want another as i loved it so much. Ive been looking at a few around 70k miles in good condition but i found many threads about dmf and gearbox problems. How common is gearbox issues on the 5 speed 120 tjet ? Also if i have to change dmf do you have to drop subframe and do i need a tool to remove and fit dmf ? I already have self adjusting clutch tool so do i just need dmf clutch and csc ? I changed dmf out for a solid flywheel on my 307 hdi 2.0 136 and it was a nightmare 12 hours and subframe out job hopefully this is easier ? Any tips or advice please. Cant post in grande punto section for some reason

Hi. And welcome.

I suspect itll be slightly easier than a 307.. the pug was a pig when I had to work on my sons one.

G.boxes are not fantastic..usual GM junk.

But apparently certain models are worse.

There are companies that fix them for sensible money though.
