HGT Problem Predictions

Just thought it worth asking so as this is three times in three months now...was driving quite casually in my HGT ('99, v-reg) when the engine management light came on. Let foot off throttle and put on again but there is a 2 second pause where there is NO power and then it cuts in again - albeit less than normal. Find place to pull up and listen to engine...all seems fine. Fiddle around with various looms and plugs to sensors. Light still on. Hang head in dissapointment for minute or so. Try again with ECU looms and airflow looms/plugs for another 2 minutes and light has gone out. Obviously cannot determine whether i fixed it myself with my fiddling and i dont expect an answer but does anyone have any ideas.

Fiat diag might be a good idea.

Last time i had a Fiat diagnostic my camshaft sensor 'needed replacing' when actually a wire in the Ecu loom was a little loose

Obviously I am going to go have it fault checked just dont trust them.

I had the same problem about 3-4 months ago, maybe a bit longer...

Never actually got down to the real cause (which will be of no help to you )

Nige from Angel tuning tried to find the fault codes, but with no avail, so simply removed them...

Everything has been fine since...*touch wood*
