HGT meshing help needed

OK I've bought the mesh and read he boo guide, but I'm still clueless (no surprises there ) where to start. Do I need to remove all of the original lattice or can I cut it at the edges and work the mesh under?
If anyone has done this or got more of a clue than me I'd appriciate it, planning on starting tomorrow morning, weather permitting.

If ever you hear thunka-thunka-thunka from your front wheel, pull over; you may well find you have only two wheel nuts left and both of those are probably loose! Not that that has ever happened to me, honest!

I have just done mine, and cut all the lattice out then used tiny cable ties to hold the mesh in place.

how does the mesh hold it's shape with nothing to support it, or am I missing something obvious?

Its really upto you how much of the lattice you cut away...

As for the mesh holding its shape, the cable ties do a good job, but i used some clear silicone to hold it in some spots...

The mesh should be rigid mate, but it will bend if something hits it hard. depends what mesh you have gone for too.
