HGT Latest updates - Mesh and Dash (not 56k friendly)

Getting there......
In the mad rush to get the car ready for this year I have managed to mesh he front grill and also get the dash sprayed and covered (and marea console).

Things to do still - get the alpine components in, boot build, re-mesh the rear and ive it a bloody good clean!!

And fix the neon thats fallen from the passenger footwell!

Looking very nice though, love the heater controls! Nice job with the fabric round the dash, no creases etc, must have taken a while? On second looks is it not just sprayed?

Same sony joystick remote as i have on my honda, works a treat.

Anyway keep at it inspiring us all and if we EVER find the time we'll do the same!

Yes it is Tom. An absolute bastard to work with. It wont bend or anything and is a pain in the ass to cut!

Wimmy - you used plain transparent sheet for the air con dials and blue leds, if Im right ?
(the plastic bubles point that way)

i know what you mean about that stainless woven mesh...I've used it on my front grille and it was a fooking nightmare.

A big thanks also goes out to Stu R for his patience with me on this one. Mythered him big time about the LED's. I was going to do the small LED's in all the switches too but found out my soldering skills weren't the greatest!

The horn died. It was on the 1.2 but never wired up. Motor seized.
As for meshing - send us your mesh and I will cut some to size Simple attatchment using plastic ties

Ahhhh. Have you just meshed OVER the bumper rather than cutting out the sections then?

Yip - easily done with a dark car.
The yellow may stand out a little too much on yours.

Yup. Not only that I'm not going to be getting rid of all the elements so I think the "cover-over" is a dead option for me.

I'll take you up on that cutting when I get round to it though. Thinking of getting a runaround so I can get Shabash! off the road and take my time with the bumper.
