Hi all,
I'm new to this forum so please be gentle, I am the proud owner of a 99 HGT 155. I am having a real head ache with the fact that when I first start her up and drive her (after letting the engine warm for a minute or two) she is very lumpy or even stutering when I hit the loud pedal, this reduces a little when I ease of. Then when I'm having fun and I change gear from 3rd to 4th it really has quite a flat spot at around 4-5000 rpm then wont rev beyond say around 5.5-6000 rpm. Please help me as this is driving me crazy.I have a new bosch MAF on its way to me, will this rectify the problem? Also I have disconnected the MAF plug with no affect. Thanks for any help peeps.

wait to youve fitted your new MAF before you spend any more money, try one thing at a time.
The chances are by the sound of it that the MAF is your problem as it sounds similar to what I had, disconecting it didnt work for me either by the way.

When your new MAF arrives fit it and do an ECU reset, the instructions for this can be found HERE

on the 147 if the maf is broken and you disconnect it things will improve slightly. if it is a 155 it will drive the same regardless if maf is broken or disconnected.

Hi guys, my thanks for all your help, I fitted the new MAF sensor and she is running a dream now, it seems she has not been right since I bought her because it's like driving a new and different car, took her out for a test drive and came back grining like a hooligan. Thanks again peeps.
