Alright guys, just recently invested in a MK1 Punto - absolute minted little car, needs a bit of work done but it's been garaged for 8 years, can't complain haha!

I'm also on the Fiat Forum too, which I'm led to believe you guys kinda roam about too?

Hit me up on that too, same username!

Welcome along to FS :)

Yeah, we've got a fair few links to FF - had a couple of joint meets over the years at the Scottish Italian Day, trips down to Stanford and such. Don't post on there too often at the moment myself though it's a great technical resource and knowledge base amongst other things :)

Hi James, welcome to FS.

We do a lot in conjunction with FF which, given the size of our country, makes sense. Muppet mentioned the St Andrews (now Cupar) show and Stanford, but most of our meets are joint meets so please feel free to tag along in May :)

Make sure and get pics of the MK1 - loved the earlier sportings and GTs, though they seem to be getting rarer and rarer. That said, I spied a Broom Yellow Cabrio when I was driving out of the works car park tonight :)

Welcome mate, glad to see another punto. Would love to see a build thread, get some pics up!

Rare cars? Tell me about it! My insurance is sitting at 7.3k just now because I'm a provisional driver, and the insurers say its because the car's so rare haha! If I've past my test before May you can count on me being there :)

Welcome!

You have some advantages Janine.
1) Female drivers get cheaper insurance than men
2) You are a tiny bit older than James, not by much though ;) *runs & hides*
3) Your car isn't the type Boy Racers would drive
4) Your Panda isn't modified
5) You shopped around

I'm 26 lol can't wait to turn 30 :D
and according to about 100 different insurers the panda is modified just with having alloys and wouldn't provide a quote or because of my age :s insurance is mental

You don't look a day over 21 :D I thought your Panda had the Alloys as standard...
My insurance problem is 4 claims in 4 years :(

Nope Steelies as standard but mine has the 127 sporting alloy wheels. All our cars have after market alloys, The marea has oz multispokes, the 126 has cinq sporting 4 spokes, and the van has 19's from america can't remember the name of them

I've never been that bothered about growing old. Leaving my teens? not a problem. Turning 25? Admittedly a bit more traumatic but only because I was sharing halls with a bunch of 18 year olds at the time and they felt the need to fit 25 candles on one little cake - I thought we were gonna have to call out the fire brigade for that one  Turning 30? way too busy to even notice although did manage a night out - I was living in Newcastle at the time and it was mandatory.

It was quite a shock though to discover I didn't want to turn 35 and wished to remain 34. For some reason I didn't like the idea of having to go up a tick box on forms when asked for my age. Got over it though and back to being not bothered again :D
