Hesitance, lack of power and stuttering - JTD100

JTD 100 2001, 75k. You will have read i have had problems with it recently, it seized (repaired) and it knocked (quite badly but went off, funny enough)

After 2 weeks of running fine she was hesitant and stuterring for a little while today, i experienced a lack of power as if it were choking. Gave it a good rev, drove round with high revs for a little after and put some injector cleaner in and it has been fine for the last 10 miles.

Anyone experienced this? will a diagnostic highlight the fault?

Yep and it was the MAF that was the problem on mine,and that wont show on a diag.


Check your fuel filter,if its the original it will be due a change aswell.

Yeah its had a new fuel fiter recently, could well be the MAf as i have been feeling that it has been a bit hesitant sometimes throughout the revs but never as bad as it was. Did you get a new MAF from that place in scotland? was it ok?
