Herts Insurance...Any good?

Hello all,

Thought i'd ask you fellow Stilos owners if any of you insure your modded stilos with Herts (HIC), mines up for renewal with Direct Line and as i've just modded a few bits, thought i'd change insurers to get a modified car policy.

Has anyone got any good reports orr horror stories.....i know they're an intermediary, the quotes they gave me are with "Highway Special" and "Chaucer Specialists" havn't heard of either!!!!

Do you want them to cover your mods as in replace like for like parts if you smash it up?

If you dont i use elephant who are mod friendly and because they dont replace like for like they only have a token charge to the premium for mods, think it was like a £30 increase for my bodykit.

You haven't got like for like Matt :bang: so if you have a bump all the work you have done to the car will be for nowt and you will be back to square one then :bang: in my case I didn't have it as my access is £500

Sounds like you have modified cover, who are you with?

I just want to have a legitimate policy rather than a standard type policy with not disclosing the mods which invaldates it.
