How she did it, god knows, but the missus has damaged her rear silencer. Kinda of dented it upwards and now exhaust emissions seem to struggle to escape when she is at around 60 mph in 5th gear / 6th gear, as the perfomance of the engine ( Power ) feels sluggish.

A quick check of Eper shows the part that is required, but when cross referenced it shows a blank.

Spoke to Dealer and have been informed me that we have a Facelift Croma rear silencer, which size wise is a little different and that the input pipe angle is also different. :bang:

Nightmare (n)

I am no going to see what differences there are now, once I have gone through a few italian websites.

We already know that the F/L Croma never came to the UK.

Dealer said this modification only affects very late plate Croma's ie from June 2007. Just a heads up guys if you have a 1.9 Mjet 16v on a 07 or 57 Plate.

Is a Vauxhall dealer worth a try? It's possible that the revision was actually a Vectra revision that rippled through to the Croma.

Vauxhall parts prices are usually less eye-watering too, especially non-official parts.

Nope. Its a Vauxhall Insignia rear box from the 1.9 CDTi 16V ( 155 ) Model.

Await a price....

That makes sense - the Croma outlived the Vectra, so they had to fit in with GM's current parts as much as possible.

I think my 56-reg (2006) one must be pre-facelift, but I'm trying to work out how to spot the difference, and working on a theory... Does yours have a "Multijet" badge on the front grille? Does the tailgate say "Croma...Multijet 150" or "Multijet 150...Croma"?

My current theory is that at facelift the front Multijet badge was added and the boot badges switched round from the first way round to the second. I had wondered why I'd seen different versions in the past, but it's beginning to make sense.

Boot Badge is Croma on LHS and Multijet 150 on RHS. Front Grill Multijet badge on Right looking from Front. Front and rear badges are the current red and silver.

Had a price for the rear box from Vauxhall at £287 plus VAT. Which is bonkers. The only rear difference is slightly longer and the inlet pipe to the box has more angle of bend than the Vectra C one. Forum user here PM'd me about this supplier below who I have rang, who sell pattern rear boxes at £110.00 in VAT and free delivery.

Thanks for the badge info. So it sounds like the front "Multijet" badge was added at facelift then (mine doesn't have one at all), so that could be how to recognise one. It seems the rear badges are placed randomly.

Forget all that though - I didn't know there were UK Cromas with red badges. Yours must be one of a very few late ones then.

The exhaust price sounds far more sensible though. Did you get a price from Fiat? It might be a laugh to find out, I bet they're a big chunk more than Vauxhall.

Not having the V5C present, pretty sure her Croma was built September 2007 and registered December 2007.

Yes asked Fiat, could not give price as our curvy shape Croma's are discontinued ( Like a did not know that :bang: ) and lead time would be 8 weeks. Helpful as usual and that was with 2 Dealers : Stonacre Liverpool and Windsors Fiat near Chester.

Ah - now the penny's dropped. So yours is the one with different shaped headlights to the rest of us? I didn't know they'd even been sold in the UK. You really are special then, must be worth lots of I-Spy points!

So I still don't understand which of the older Cromas get a front Multijet badge, or how the boot badges are arranged. Other than randomly.

No. Its the same face as yours, its just one of the very last ones with the new badges on that appeared in the facelifts ones that the UK did not get.
