Catch twenty two when I tried that...

...the bike carb's had no return so fuel would spill out of the overflows. I made a funnel to fit an X1/9 1300 carb' but it was knackered and leaked everywhere.

If the carb' has a return then you can use a 4psi pump but if not you'll just make a flammable mess.

why you no make a header tank? just a small tank with 3 pipes leading into it. the top pipe returns to the main tank, the middle pipe comes from the fuel pump and the bottom pipe goes to the carbs.

you effectively have a small tiny tank that is constantly filled with fuel from the main tank, but holds no pressure because the fuel can easy flow back to the main tank giving you the same results as having a gravity fed tank on a motorbike.

use an aircon dryer like this but with only one pipe in the side: (rotate 90 degrees)

...is a Panda 4x4 efi tank from the continent. Would a Punto fuel pump fit or will it need to be adapted. If you want to run efi it would be easier to start from a new tank than steam, foam and coat your old tank before cutting and welding it.

Punto pump will fit with a slight cut to the pick up tube. Bare tank like this also needs the vapour vent system connections to seal it. (y)

How many miles has your Fizz covered? Mine just crossed 108,000 :)

With only thirty or so left it makes sense to preserve the one with lower mileage. Even though mine is one owner and the history file has an Oprah Book Club sticker on it. ;)

Mine was 68k, though not much remains of the interior now due to project colour taking the dash roll and a local cat making it a sleeping place!

My interior is immaculate. The back seat had never been used before I bought it and the original owner and I are non smokers. I had to fit a cigarette lighter socket for my camera.

I may have a Fizz plus Y10 proposal. ;)

Found this while looking for something else. PandaPanda - Henry as a pale shadow of his current self...

Henry's old interior - seats came from the colour in exchange for the Alfa ones!
I don't think the dash roll was ever taken out hence the remaining white bits.
You can see the quality of the repairs Sean did to the shell.

Worst bit to do was changing the door winder mechanism from Fizzle to Henry as his was missing the locking tab making the glass stick in the frame.
Luckily got away with just adjusting the passengers side.
The observant will have noticed that Henry wears Marbella doors and the drivers is different to the passenger side, unable to fit a door pocket to the offside!

Rubber floor went in from Fizzle too who also donated the rear of the dash pod.
Rear seat and door cards came from Palio's stock and the leather Alfa seats came from mine!

The Green seat belts came from colour (who wears Fizzles grey ones).

The drainage tabs throughout the car haven't been sealed since repainting, to be honest I'm going to keep them open as they are natural drainage points if the car ever does get flooded. The downside to this is a little water enters the car and sits under the driver and passengers foot mat position but so far nothing more than discolouration to the paint, I'll get it sorted out when the weather gets warmer though.

The cloth Alfa seats wouldn't fit due to the bases being slightly bigger thus the gears couldn't be engaged.
I swapped the frames and subframes onto the leather seats which fit perfectly, the drivers seat will also adjust up if I want to rub my head on the roof!

It took four long afternoons to do the interior swap and annoyingly one of the exhaust mountings was attached to the rear seat belt mounting via a long bolt which came off during the changes, as it's a two man job I had to cable tie the exhaust for now.

I now have a complete interior including seats of the black stripe type if anyone wants it, scruffy but should clean up well if anyone wants it.

Also if anyone wants two front seats from the colour they are going begging too.

Finally Henry wears Fizzles old wind deflectors and 14" winter tyres and punto steelies!

Just remember. If it was injection you'd still be waiting for a recovery truck to turn up ;)

..But it wouldn't have been faulty/ gone out of tune had an 'off' day/ sulked, in the first place.. (Just sayin.)

Good to see you yesterday John(y)

Need Henry's power loss sorting out in time for The Rust Accelerator because some of the roads I'm planning on taking us over are steep.:)
