i have had a new engine fitted a while ago, but i dont know if it actually got done and i got charged £500 just to change something, how can i find out if the engine has actually been replaced? its a punto 51 reg it has an engine number on a little metal plate just under the bonnet, will there be a number on the engine itself that should match this (or in my case it shoukd be different i guess?)
if it has been changed, do i need to tell DVLA or my insurance, will it ahve any additional cost? the guy who had the car said its exactly the same size etc?
