i've got a 2000 punto hgt arbath and need a new engine.The one i've found is 2001 will it be a straight swap because i was told they changed the engine around this time ??

hi, im no mechanic but cant see why it shouldnt fit/work,but mind you will need engine/brain/loom/ignition barrel+key.
Maybe try posting in the punto section as you might get more response,good luck anyway.

if its the 1.8 16v fvd engine, then yes, it will fit as a straight swap, all hgt puntos and barchettas had the same engine.... unless it was the jtd hgt in which case, it was a 1.9 diesel
