Hello i'm trying to fit some rear speakers to my bravo HLX (mk2)

I have disconnected the old speakers, but there is nothing to say which wire is positive and which is negative on each side of the car.

If you like i can tell you what colours the 4 wires are (two on each side of the car).

Thanks
Jonathan

colours

Hi,

Yes, the colours are the key.

If all else fails, you can always check how the coloured wires plug in to the back of the radio.

Cheers,
Ove

Re: colours

ok left hand side has:
Blue & Red
White & Red

and right hand side has:
White & Blue
White & Green

Your colours are diffrent to my car also the Bravo guide is diffrent for the R/H speaker. For the L/H speaker it says that Blue/Red is positive. The best way to find out is to put a digital multimeter across the speaker plug on DCV (DC VOLTS) whilst it is disconnected from the speaker with the radio turned on making sure the fader/balance are in the center. If you get a normal read out this means the one the red lead is connected to is the positive, if you get a reading with a - symbol, it means the one the black lead is connected to is the positive. Hope this helps. When you've done let us know what they sound like + what they are.
