Hi all,
I've recently purchased a 2008 fiat 500 1.3 multijet lounge and was wondering if any one knew how to play music from my iPhone 5 in the car? The blue tooth works fine but when I try to play music it says 'no media found'.i only have a USB socket in the car-no AUX socket, I know there is the adaptor on the fiat website but it's pretty pricy!!
Thanks in advance!

Adaptor is the easiest and most simple way to do it. You can't stream music with Blue&Me at this point in time.

yep, can't stream over bluetooth.

Downloaded a bluetooth streaming app, Blue&me recognises it but but the phone says can't play music when making a phonecall, don't hold your breath for blue&me to offer airplay or androidplay sort of stuff.

have you tried plugging in the phone via usb to pick up the current playlist ?

Pretty sure my sister just plugged her iphone in via usb. I've got mine on the usb I also use for ecodrive and have no probs with that either.

Won't have my 500 for a few months, so I'll have no issues playing music through my iPhone 5?

I'd be confident it will be fine, mine is a very late 2013 build and works with iphone 5s no problem. Presumably as long as you have the latest b&m software, which you should have, it will be ok.

I have a '13 fiat 500 and it only plays music from my iPhone 5s using the USB port. Blue and me recognizes the phone for calls, but not as a media player. USA

The USB port is Blue&Me so it does recognise it as a media player, just that Blue&Me doesn't support Bluetooth streaming.

So you can plug straight into the USB port and play music then

Yes I plug the phone directly into the USB with the lightning port. ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1391968844.226022.jpg The stereo components then recognize the phone as a media player. The display shows the title of the song and the steering wheel control can skip tracks, and such.

A product exists called an A2DP Blue Tooth adapter that is supposed to eliminate that cord. Only $30 on Amazon, but I haven't looked at it in depth.
