On mine I found 35mm made the wheels fit the arches perfectly. However as your is an HGT, it may be slightly lower already, but as 35mm is the smallest lowering I've seen, it should have the same results.
Have a look at http://www.tuning.co.uk/fiatshop/
I think as yours is an HGT you have to get a £425 Koni kit, rather than the cheap spring kit

i didnt realise it was that expensive, i regret buying a hgt, you cant buy any good stuff for it- not cheaply anyway

You name a car that's quicker than the HGT for the same comparable price.

And please do not include 20 year old Porches.

I would like to think so Sven.

But until I see one up against a HGT I would beg to differ.

I'd like someone to take their Angletuned JTD on the pod and put it up against a few things.. epsecially a HGT.

Would do it if I lived in GB, this way I cant Angel tune it :( , nor do a face to face race.
But have in mind, same car, different driver, the better driver wins :)

PI lowering springs go 35mm. All four springs for £99 on Ebay.

could anyone tell me if i was to buy a set of lowering springs, would this be all i would need or would i need to buy other stuff aswell- shocks etc...

You don't need new shocks if your lowering to 40mm. Anything greater than people advise you too by new shocks.

I have PI lowering springs and its lowered 35mm. The shockers are original Fiat Ones.

is yours a hgt? are the springs the same on all models? would 35mm be ok on this one do you thing??

cheers

I own a 1.9 JTD HLX. I would say its fine on the HGT 35mm.

Dosn't look that bad. My hgt sat a lot higer than that, you could almost walk under it ;)
