Hi, ive removed my flywheel from my spare engine in prep for the install. while it is off the car do you think its worth getting lightened if so how much does this cost on average and where around liverpool/Manchester can it be done? Also what is a good amount to take off without putting it at breaking risk.

also i know it picks up the revs quicker with it lighter but what other (if any) advantages are there, and are hills more of a issue then?

thanks for any replys

Definately worth doing. You need to remember to get it ballanced perfectly or not worth doing. Hills are meant to be a slight issue but wouldnt have thought you would notice it until you take stupid amounts off. Think most people go for about 2k off. costs around £60+ depending on quality and company reputation etc. I'd look around £100 for a decent job.

Aaaron quoted something like 2kg off of the fw = 100kg off the ar weight equivalent from standing start.

Cant help with manchester area im affraid.
