Help with cleaning ICV

I've removed the ICV but fail to see what needs to be cleaned!!

Can someone point me in the right direction, I've included some pics!!!

Well, I decided to have a crack at it after reading previous posts!

What I did was unscrew the cylinder part on the second photo which left me with 2 cylinder bits and sprayed carb cleaner inside one of them to try and remove as much dirt from it as possible, tried to wipe it out and let it dry and reassembled everything!

Been for one quick spin, and it seems fine but will go for a longer spin to see if I've succeeded!

I did this with a mate on his 1.8, didnt really knwo what to clean so just went over the lot with cotton buds and some wd40 i think it was! seemed better havent spokent othim to see if it cured the problem totally!
