Hi,Has anybody any idea wot i can use to replace the plastic insert in my roof gutters?? They have shrunk, faded and now look sh..e Fiat want 50+ for new ones which i thinks a joke for a couple of lenghts of plastic!!!!!!!Im open to suggestions, Cheers in advance Jez.

hi there, if i were you i would save your cash and totally remove the plastics, i know of a couple of members who have no plastic or rubber in the roof gutters and besides lookin a little odd for a while, it doesn`t look all that bad to be honest,
all thats under the plastics is the car body work, it should be ok to just remove them, if they stuck down try a little hot water first to soften any glue

hope this helps

be prepared to get soaked every time you get in and out of your car in rain. The gutters have this neat feature where they collect rain, and direct ot down the side of the front window, and not all over you. ;)

How are they to be smoothed? The roof is very very very flexible. I'm sure I remember in the back of my mind one member trying it. The roof flexes a lot under normal conditions and the smoothing cracked quite easily

hmmm wimmy, u are very correct there...i have to try and find away around it....;)
