Hi, I have just got a 2004 2.8JTD motorhome.
I want to change the air filter BUT the lid is held on by 4 self tapping screws( not spring clips as shown in my manual), one of which appears to be impossible to reach.
Is it possible to take the complete filter assy. off without getting inside the canister.
Any suggestions welcome

Remove the complete unit: 2 bolts and 2 hose clamps. The screws may have corroded and will be hard to turn. Replace them with suitable stainless screws so you won't have problems the next time.
One of the screws is hard to reach but it is not impossible.

You can get the screw with a right angle screwdriver or a flex adapter.

If you don't have either then the backet the housing is mounted on has 3 bolts you could remove those instead giving you leeway to access with a regular screwdriver
