Hi I am new to this site and I am hoping someone out there can help me. We have a Fiat Punto 1.2 sporting automatic. Back in May the gear box failed ( only reverse gear worked ). With no help from the garage where we bought the car a friend said they knew a mechanic who would look at it for us. He said the best thing to do would be to have a manual gear box fitted. So we did. Now we have a speedometer that won't work and when we use the left indicator the reverse alarm comes on and my rear indicator and red light have a dancing compertition. On top of that the break lights have now stopped working. The fuses are all fine. So we are assuming that there is a wire from the old gear box playing fast and crazy with all the other wires. The guy who did the job doesn't want to know, so as nice as I could be I read him the riot act and told him where he could shove tool kit. Is there anyone who could help us PLEASE as this is driving us crazy. :bang: We have only had the car 18 months and it has been off the road for 12 of them. Other than this we love our little car, we would just love it more with out the disco light display.
