Fiat Uno Turbo ie 1.4 Mk2

Below the exhaust manifold and above the exhaust downpipe is situated an elbow that connects to the turbo.
I have blown the oval shaped gasket with four bolt holes that now needs replacing and am finding it tricky to find.
If anyone could advise me in locating this gasket i will share my wife and lend you my dog for one week.:D

Actually, before I put any more effort into this, can we have a picture of the wife, and dog, please?

Thanks.

Not sure if you have the garret or IHI unit on that 1372cc engine, but it looks like a Punto exhaust manifold.

Anyway, it's a standard connection so Garret / IHI should come up trumps, if not the Turbo reconditioners may help (turbo dynamics ect..)

Have never split the elbow off, but is it like any of these http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_kw=IHI&_kw=turbo&_kw=gasket

have gotten off of the phone to the company I rang, they are looking this up for you now and will call me back.

edit - :( bad news unfortunately. These are no longer available. You might have to ask around on ebay (dont ask "thegasketshop" - I emailed asking if they had any, and mailed me back with "No". ). Other than that, if you can use the current knackered one as a template, you could make your own.

This is a nightmare! the gasket that i have taken off is half missing so i'm unable to use it as a pattern.

Mate, you dont need a gasket there. They don't have a gasket there from new.

Check the surfaces are flat and not warped and it will be fine. If the surfaces are warped a gasket will blow anyway, get them machined flat.

I looks like i'm going to have to make my own.
Can not adam and eve that Fiat can't supply me with this simple part.
Part number: 7709163
Thanks for yor help.

hmmm. maybe make a template with some cardboard and blue carbon copy paper?

End result! this is what i ended up doing...
Took your advice, made me a template, bought a 2"x4" piece of sheet copper from ebay £10 and put my Dremmel to good use. RESULT! (well i think so) I've not started the engine yet but it sure looks good and fingers crossed it'll work. I did find a bloke in Birmingham who would make me a propper gasket if i sent him my template but don't know how much he would have charged me. I'll use him as a back up plan if my gasket making skills are not up to scratch. Thanks eveyone who has helped with my little problem. I'll post some pics of my pile of Uno once i get time.

Lol, we overthinked stuff... I watched the uncle, who works on my car make a gasket for the thermostat or something... simply placeing the gasket material over the face its to be applied to, and tapping the edges of holes with a small ballpeen hammer so the metal works a bit like a hole punch. Oh yah, the proper gasket from the kit made its appearance after all was assembled.
