Technical HELP: The engine stops

Hi, this forums are very interesting, and you guys know a lot. I have a problem: When I'm driving my Fiat Tempra SX '96, the engine would simply loose power and finally stop. Then it's difficult to make it start again, Can sombody help me? My mechanic told me it was the ECU, but I'm not so sure. I will appreciate your advice. Thank You!

Check the ECU earth connector. I have seen the wire come out of the crimp connector causing the car to randomly stop. This could be your problem - depends how long your car runs on lower power before it stops.

Whats the engine in your Temp?
