I'm sitting here with dirty nails and bleeding knuckles!

I had a fog light out on my stilo than a few nights ago a headlignt went.

So today I went and bought myself 10 new bulbs to change all the bulbs in one go (I've read a lot of horror stories about changing stilo bulbs)

After an hour I realised that my fat hands could not change them from the top. So off came the bumper (never done it before so took 40mins ish)

As I'm fealing old I bought myself some LED sidelights to try and re-capture my gary-boy days.

Heres the problem....

I realised that the LEDs were not turning off, so I thought Feck it put the original 501s in, but then  None of my sidelights work!
I've tried turning the bulbs round but still nought!

Its now dark so I can't do any more but I need the car for work at 10:30 am tomorrow!

SO what can I do tomorrow?

Ps - all other lights on the outside of the car work fine

Thanks :worship:

:) harsh but wise words.... it isnt coincidental that the modders and meddlers seem to have more faults than those of us who let the car just be itself...

Thanks for the constructive replies guys! ;)

I wasn't medaling....

as stilo owners know, you don't want to changing bulbs to often.

While I was dirty and bleeding I wanted to change all the bulbs

No offence meant Noclu... just banter. I just swap whichever bulb goes on wifeys Stilo when it goes they are such unpredictable things...

Don't worry mate, I'm not easily offended ;)

:( at least I can drive the car but that bl00dy anoying light on the dash!

I'm afraid I've got to agree with that too (y)

Only had one headlight and one brake light bulb go in the whole time I've had my JTD.

Funny thing is there's a black 3 door over the road from me and its had the NS brake light out for the last six months. Driving any car like that is bad enough until you realize the Stilo must BEEP that the bulb needs changing every time it's started

Can't get my head around that at all

Can just imagine the owner getting pulled over.
Officer: "Did you know you had a failed brake light?"
Owner: "Of course I bloody do - the damn cars been beeping me about it for the last 6 months!"
Officer: "Hmmm... So do you actually have a driving license....."

If you've not simply blown a fuse (which shouldn't happen as LEDs take a lot less current) then the body computer might be confused - unless of course you shorted something whilst doing the job :chin:.

You could try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes

The battey is disconected now and it will be till the am.

I'll go and see in a min if there is any change

Can't blieve it was the led bulbs causing all the issues, as I have changed mine for audi stye sidelights totalling 96 LEDs in total! And caused no issue at all

Perhaps you chaffed a wire putting back plate back on or something?

bugger, feck.....
I hate sorting out car electrics!
I am not very good at it!
Looks like a trip to the garage :(

Can I hijack this thread with a quick question - If the bulbs go on the front which mine have done recently - but being a women have small hands and have changed them - should the stilo being telling me they've blown, cuz mine doesn't - it quite happily tells me the back ones have gone but never on the front?
