General Help Punto mk2 parts

Hello Guys,
Just had a little accident nothing orrible just trying to
repair my punto mk2 now.
I got all the parts i need except one, there is a tank under
the front headlight in the right side of the car that i can't find anywere.
Tbh i don't even now how it's called, i reckon it's for recover cooling liquid when exceeds or something.
I've attached a photo of the tank so maybe it's more clear and easy to understand what i need.
Anyone knows more about that ?

Cheap as chips when taken from a scrappy car

Ensure you get the Blue bottle flick top with it
Why your there - probably wouldnt be a bad idea to grab the pump AND a good snippet of the loom for the pump

JUST incase yours from the accident got damaged

Would pay no more then £10 for the whole lot!

Sorry guys i might have not been clear in my explanation. I'm sure it is not the screen washer tank,because it is located in the opposite side of the car. This one is located underneath the front headlight on the driver side, on the left side of the radiator if you are facing the engine compartment.

I know the HGT uses a Over head tank (sits around engine mount)
But i dont think anything else has a tank on that left hand side (main engine mount side)

What engine?

Had a look at Haynes manual and couldn't find anything in there..it is definitely not screen washer bottle as they look like this...

The tank looks quite clean inside. Was there any residue of its contents, if so, what sort of liquid was it and what colour?

There is a large connection at one end, a smaller one at the other. Are there any others? Where does the other end of each connected hose go?

now i know where that coolant tank cap pipe is going on my 99 hgt, but i dont got one on my other 2000 hgt which got electric throttle body, dunno if that has any connection
is that tank even needed?

Unless the tank has an internal tube to the bottom, to bring any overflow back in as the system cools, it is just a waste catch tank. Any suitable plastic bottle will do. Stick a tube into an old drinks bottle and cable-tie it in place. Or just run a tube down and let it drip under the car.

Yea - 1 pipe in - no pipes out....

if it was me - i'd cable tie the pipe up somewhere and let it leak to ground lol

Totally irrisponsible since its technically poison...

Wonder how often people DONT empty them?

1st gain access - 2nd drill tiny 2mm hole in bottom
